Thank you for checking out my webpage! My name is Cristina Macklem. Broadly speaking, I am interested in how humans and wildlife interact and how to maintain our coexistence sustainably. I recently completed a Master of Science degree at the University of Connecticut in the department of Natural Resources and the Environment. My project examined how exurban housing development affects stream salamander occupancy, abundance, and reproduction. Currently, I am working as a biological science technician for the United States Geological Survey in Oregon. Please feel free to explore the other tabs to learn more about me, my research, my inspirations, and how to contact me. Enjoy!
